The Green Cycle management team — a growing Yemeni environmental initiative needing a powerful dashboard to manage 12,000+ users, listings, products, digital wallet transactions, and environmental impact analytics.
Problem & Context
The Green Cycle initiative management team faced operational challenges: (1) no unified control panel for managing users, listings, and transactions, (2) difficulty moderating product and waste quality in the marketplace, (3) lack of analytical reports on platform performance and environmental impact, (4) need for a digital wallet and payment management system, (5) absence of a community communication and update platform.
Our Solution
We built a comprehensive admin dashboard including: (1) user management with multi-level roles (user, trader, collector, admin), (2) listing and product moderation with review and approval workflow, (3) financial transactions and digital wallet dashboard with reports, (4) environmental impact analytics showing waste stats, product sales, and carbon savings, (5) content management for news, offers, and announcements, (6) WhatsApp and social media integration.

Architecture
Web-based admin dashboard built with Next.js, React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL. Uses REST API for integration with the public platform. Supports real-time statistics and exportable reports in PDF and Excel formats.
Security & Performance
Multi-level role-based access (super admin, financial admin, content moderator, communications manager), full data encryption, audit logging for all admin operations, two-factor authentication, encrypted automatic backups.
Our Approach
We followed a Data-First Dashboard Design methodology — starting with identifying the key metrics the management team needs daily: new users, transaction volume, waste collected. We designed the dashboard to display these KPIs on the home page with one-click drill-down capability.
