Client Background
A retail store in Yemen wanting to transition from traditional (face-to-face) sales to e-commerce. Manages 500+ products in inventory serving customers in one city with plans to expand across Yemen.
Problem & Context
The store owner wanted to transition from traditional to online sales and faced: (1) no digital presence for products losing potential customers, (2) difficulty managing inventory and pricing through physical store only without a digital system, (3) inability for customers to browse and order online outside business hours, (4) need for electronic billing, sales reporting, and analytics, (5) difficulty tracking orders and delivery, (6) no customer database for marketing communication.
Our Solution
We built a complete e-commerce store with 12 screens (home, products, categories, cart, checkout, my account, orders, tracking, product management, inventory, reports, settings) including: (1) bilingual (Arabic/English) storefront with 500+ products, smart categories, advanced search, and 6 filters (price, category, brand, rating, availability, newest), (2) inventory and pricing management with automatic out-of-stock updates, (3) advanced shopping cart supporting cash on delivery and Stripe credit cards, (4) admin dashboard for orders, customers, and reports with interactive Chart.js visualizations, (5) electronic invoicing with sequential numbering, (6) shipping integration with order tracking, discount coupons, and promotional offers.

Architecture
E-commerce platform using Next.js (SSG/ISR) with React storefront, Node.js backend, and PostgreSQL database. Integrates with Stripe payment gateway via REST API and uses CDN for fast WebP image loading with automatic format conversion. Fully responsive design for mobile and tablet. 12 screens covering the complete customer journey from browsing to post-purchase review.
Security & Performance
SSL encryption for all transactions, CSRF and XSS protection, input validation, payment route protection, JWT-based API protection, customer authentication with session management.
